About your Game Master

Laura Khalil

A woman with shoulder-length blonde hair, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes, poses on a city sidewalk with her hands in her pockets and a pink blazer draped over her shoulders, smiling at the camera.

The first story I ever told—according to my mom—was about a family of polar bears who ran a hot chocolate stand in the Arctic. I’ve been obsessed with storytelling ever since: not just as a form of play, but as a powerful tool for transformation.

For years, I worked behind the scenes helping companies tell better brand stories—crafting narratives that moved audiences and built connection.

But what fascinated me even more was what was happening inside those companies: smart, capable people in yet another meeting, without any real sense of forward momentum. Siloed teams trying to figure out how to move forward, and everyone was working hard, but not always together.

As a fellow of the Joseph Campbell Foundation and game master, I’ve studied how story shapes identity, behavior, and belief.

Today, I bring that lens to the world of work—designing immersive roleplaying experiences that help teams reconnect, think more clearly, and collaborate in a way that actually works.
