What it’s like

It’s not a workshop. It’s not a training. It’s a story you shape together—one decision, one laugh, one unexpected twist at a time.

You won’t be fighting real dragons—but you’ll face surprising challenges, make bold choices, and get a glimpse of how your team can think, connect, and collaborate when they’re re-energized and in flow.

One moment, you might be negotiating a fragile alliance between rival kingdoms. The next, you’re dodging booby traps in a cursed cavern—or putting on your best cardigan and working together to crack the case of a suspicious seaside murder as part of a retired grannies' mystery club.

We guide you every step of the way—so whether you're a seasoned gamer or a complete beginner, you'll feel supported, engaged, and maybe even surprised by how much it gets your gears turning.

We’ll help you choose a setting that fits your team—whether that’s fantasy adventure, cozy mystery, or something in between.

FAQ’s

Do I need to know how to act or be "creative"?

Not at all! There's no performance pressure here. You're just making decisions for your character and describing what they do. Think of it like explaining what you'd do in a situation, not putting on a Shakespeare play.

What if I'm not into fantasy or don't know anything about D&D?

Perfect! We'll teach you everything you need to know, and you don't need to be a fantasy fan to enjoy collaborative storytelling and problem-solving. Many of our most enthusiastic players started as complete skeptics.

Am I going to have to fight orcs and dragons?

Roleplaying games are so much more than Dungeons and Dragons! You could play a sleuthing granny in a Murder, She Wrote-style mystery, a team of woodland creatures running a magical bakery and solving neighborhood disputes, or astronauts on a space station working together to solve technical problems. We tailor the adventure to what sounds fun and engaging to your group - no swords or sorcery required. And yes, if you want to meet dragons along the way, we can do that too :) Book a call to discuss.

Is this just for "nerdy" people?

Our players include CEOs, engineers, teachers, salespeople, parents, and everyone in between. If you like solving problems and connecting with people, you'll fit right in.

How long does a session last?

How many sessions do we need? Sessions typically run 2-3 hours. You'll see benefits after just one session, but most teams find their stride after 3-4 sessions when everyone gets comfortable with their characters. Book a call to discuss.

What if someone on my team thinks this is silly?

We get it! Start with the willing participants. Once the skeptics see how much fun everyone's having (and how much they're learning), they usually want in on the next round.

Do we need to buy anything or prepare beforehand?

Nope! We provide everything - dice, character sheets, snacks, and all the guidance you need. Just show up ready to try something new. Book a call to discuss.

Is this therapy in disguise?

We're not therapists, but roleplaying has therapeutic benefits like helping people find their voice, building confidence, giving your brain a break from overthinking, and even helping with imposter syndrome. It's play that naturally makes people feel better - not structured therapy, but genuinely beneficial for personal growth.

Can I try it once?

Of course! We offer one-time sessions perfect for testing the waters, plus ongoing campaign packages for teams and individuals who want to develop their characters and stories over multiple adventures. Book a call to discuss.

Where do these sessions happen?

We run sessions virtually via Zoom or in person, depending on your location and preferences. Book a call to explore what works best for your team.

How many people can play at once?

We can accomodate different group sizes, from as few as 4 people for to as many as 100. We can accommodate larger groups with advance planning.

What’s the cost?

Pricing depends on the session length, group size, and whether you’re booking a single experience or a multi-session package. Book a call, and we’ll give you a custom quote that fits your needs.

Do you travel for in-person sessions?

Yes! We’re happy to come to your office, retreat, or event location. Travel fees may apply depending on where you’re based.

Can sessions be customized for specific business goals?

Definitely. We can tailor the storytelling themes, challenges, and learning objectives to support your team’s goals—like communication skills, creative thinking, or simply stress relief and connection.

Do you provide materials for virtual sessions?

Yes! We provide character sheets, dice rollers, and any visuals you’ll need. You won’t have to figure out any tech on your own.

What technology do we need for virtual games?

Just a reliable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. We’ll send you everything else you need in advance.

Can we mix in-person and remote players?

We recommend “splitting the party” and running two separate games — one in-person and a separate for those who can only be virtual!

How do you handle venues?

We’re flexible! If you already have a venue in mind—like your office, a conference room, or a retreat space—we’re happy to come to you.

Need help choosing a venue? Let us know your group size, location, and vibe you’re going for, and we’ll recommend spaces we’ve worked with or help you brainstorm options.

For virtual sessions, there’s no venue needed—we handle everything online.

Someone on my team knows how to run D&D games. Can't they just facilitate this for us?

We love that you have gaming enthusiasts on your team! But here's the thing—what we do is fundamentally different from running a D&D campaign, and mixing the two can actually work against your team-building goals.

This isn't D&D. We use custom, business-friendly systems designed specifically for professional development—not the notoriously complex rule sets that make D&D challenging even for experienced DMs. Our approach focuses on collaboration and decision-making rather than combat mechanics and character optimization.

We start with strategy. Before we ever roll a die, we spend time understanding your team's specific challenges, dynamics, and objectives. Are you trying to break down silos? Build trust after a reorganization? Develop leadership confidence? We design every scenario, character interaction, and decision point around YOUR goals—not just "having a fun adventure."

Your colleague can't participate. If someone from your team is running the game, they miss out on the entire experience. They're stuck behind the screen managing the story instead of engaging with their teammates, building relationships, and developing skills alongside everyone else.

It creates weird workplace dynamics. Having a team member in the "authority" role can reinforce existing hierarchies or create new ones. Suddenly your colleague is deciding what happens to everyone else's characters, which can feel awkward when you're back in Monday's meeting.

Professional facilitation is the secret sauce. We bring years of expertise in both storytelling, facilitation and human behavior. We're trained to read group dynamics, guide meaningful conversations, and customize challenges that develop specific skills your team needs—all while staying neutral and keeping everyone engaged.

Plus, we handle everything. Your gaming colleague shouldn't have to prep scenarios, manage group dynamics, AND try to achieve your business objectives. That's a lot of pressure when they could be bonding with the team instead.
